Nursery Admission Information
Welcome to our nursery! We are delighted that you are considering joining our nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.
At Bushbury Lane Academy, our outstanding Nursery places the child at the centre of everything we do. Strong relationships, love and care are the foundation of our teaching, thanks to our exceptional and experienced staff.
Our Provision
We offer a warm, safe, and inclusive setting for children aged 3 to 4 years. Our provision emphasises learning through play and carefully planned activities. Children are immersed in topics, gaining foundational knowledge and developing essential skills for their educational journey.
Outdoor learning is also a priority, with numerous opportunities for children to explore and learn outside. This holistic approach ensures that our Nursery provides a nurturing and inspiring environment, preparing children for the next stage of their education.

15 Hour Funding
All three and four year olds in Wolverhampton are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education per week, over no fewer than 38 weeks of the year. This applies the term after their 3rd birthday until they reach Reception age. Bushbury Lane Academy has three admissions per annum, which takes place at the start of the Autumn Term (Sept), Spring Term (Jan), and Summer Term (March/April).
We do require children to attend each day whilst they are in our nursery.
30 Hour Funding
Working families may be eligible for 30 hours of funded sessions. If you think you may be eligible you must apply the term before you want to take up a place.
If eligible, you'll get an online childcare account and a code for 30 hours childcare. To claim your 30 hours, you will need to provide the school with the code.

Please note lunchtimes cannot be funded by nursery education funding and remain chargeable at £2.50 per session. Alternatively, your child can bring a packed lunch to school.
Session Times
We offer flexible sessions to suit your needs:

Morning Session: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Full Day: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (30 hour place - subject to availability)
Costs
15 hour & Extended 30 hour funded nursery places are free, however if your child attends a full day they will need a packed lunch, or you can purchase a school meal from school for them at a cost of £2.50 per day.
Additional sessions are available subject to availability, and these are currently charged at £17.00 per session.

Nursery Admissions - Enquiry Form
This can be done at any time after your child’s birth and will be kept on file until places are allocated.
Children usually start in our nursery after they have turned three years old. You will be contacted to start the admissions process when places are available.
For families wanting a 30 hour place, we will also need a valid code before we can process your application.
